Arabian Wrestling Scholars "Stand Alone"

The Arabian Wrestling Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $18,000 to exemplary Pendleton Heights High School senior wrestlers who show leadership qualities, have 2+ years on the wrestling team, demonstrate good character and are accepted to a 2- or 4- year college or university.

Students who are awarded this accolade are chosen through a rigorous process: since 1999, the 24 PHHS wrestlers who have received this scholarship had to be approved through the cumulative agreement of PHHS coaches, school administrators, teachers, parents of current PHHS wrestlers and Selection Committee members. Fund founder David Miller notes that "Arabian Wrestling offers the willing participant a life-transforming experience, a community of belonging and achievement through hard work, growth, and recognition. The Arabian Wrestling Club Scholarship recognizers the wrestler's commitment to "stand alone."
